And if you're Canadian? Now that the Emergencies Act has been invoked?
Expect some trouble.

This is not the kind of thing we want to do very often if we have to do it at all, and everyone needs banking services whether we want them or not. So something will have to be done to make sure that anyone caught and convicted can resume doing lawful business without being subject to extortionate penalties that might further radicalise them, yes...

Specifically these two from his book On Tyranny:
6. Be wary of paramilitaries
7. Be reflective if you must be armed
I don't think the head of the Ottawa Police Association, Matt Skof, is going to want that book to be available any more, whether he knows of it yet or not.

Feb. 8th, 2022 07:35 amThe Convoy Coup Crowd's been injunctioned into silence, but they're still getting fuel to their trucks. There's been an attempted arson + mass murder targeting an apartment building on Metcalfe and Lisgar, now being investigated with clear security video footage almost guaranteeing a slam-dunk conviction once the suspects are found.
Meanwhile, I've still got a day job. The Pandemic is still underway. And other stuff also in progress.

Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida and Ken Paxton, Texas AG are both pushing for investigations of GoFundMe in retaliation for their pulling the plug on the Convoy Coup Crowd's fundraising on that service. So I'm reading via Twitter at the moment.

I am convinced, as an observer, that the author of this Twitter thread is correct on the stated points. The judge is there to ensure a show trial that will "exonerate" the suspect.

Canadians At Risk in Xi's Prisons
Aug. 11th, 2021 08:55 amThere are more lives at risk than we've been paying attention to here. (If you run into a paywall, my apologies for that.)
Joanne Chin asks the question: If China hadn’t targeted white Canadians, would Chinese-Canadian relations be business as usual?
It's a fair question to raise. And yes, that's understating the situation here.

End of May 2021 - Partial Plans
May. 31st, 2021 08:35 amOne more filling to take care of this morning. Getting to the dentist and back via public transit would - barring shopping errands on the way home - normally be expected to take about three hours. This, despite the relative proximity of the dentist's offices to home, because of transit route schedule peculiarities.
