The bereavement story was quite good. Fun thing turned out that several of the following stories were also good.
One about a dancing dog.

My company allows up to three days (which is at least better than provincial legislation). But they have to be continuous, so if a parent dies on a Friday morning (like my dad), you can choose between taking off the day they die, or going to the funeral.

After becoming a manager, one of my team members lost his father. I told him to take as long as he needed. He took a total of six work days off; I had him enter three of them as (paid) sick days.
