Okay. Now I have QGIS on my new-ish Mac Mini, and I've started downloading Shapefile data because that seems to be a thing you do when you have GIS software that you intend to use. Some of you are on my friendlist because you've provided insights on map design over the years, and I am wondering what else I should be looking at and looking for. This is a hobby of mine that seems to have made me slightly more useful in my most recent day job, which I consider a good thing. I want to keep building on that.

Looks like we're going to restart our writing workshop sessions in person again at the Rideau Branch of the Ottawa Public Library on Tuesday nights come September. I'll try to remember to upload the advertising design-work I've just had approved closer to the start date.

Is Prof. Geist wrong about this? If so, how? If not, how do we get this stopped? If News Media Canada and/or Friends of Canadian Broadcasting are for it, why, and how do we overcome such objections if this does in fact interfere with our interests as internet users in Canada?

If you know election officials under legal threat and they don't already know of this organization, then you might want to point them in the Network's direction. If you know of lawyers able and willing to help in such things and they don't already know of the Network, then again...same advice applies.

Someone's willing to pay attention to this, and a good thing, too. I've been getting some kind of mental-health support for over five years through one of the local community health centres, whether I was employed or not. The mental-health supports weren't sought specifically because of the job search, but so what?

Meanwhile, I'm working on designing a birthday card for one of my nephews. In additional to helping with family solidarity in its way, it's skills-training with graphic design 'ware. I can count it as a "job search activity", right?
