I mentioned in reply that I could probably make some time to update the Ottawa-Gatineau section. Sadly, we lost Suzanne Marsden three years ago, and the Ottawa Comix Jam sessions were her Big Project of keeping the community connected to itself and the larger city and comics creators' community of North America.

Writers, artists of all branch-disciplines, and so on...

I did two things tonight for my mental health: I blocked Musk and pre-emptively reported Trump for spamming before blocking him.

Not sure what to make of it yet. Or if I want to try making anything with it.

Of course, it doesn't feel like a dripping faucet right now. Closer to the firehose flooding the zone of the damned Steve Bannon's infamous metaphor.

She'll be speaking elsewhere at some point, I expect. For the time being, she won't be on Twitter. I am certain that Elon Musk is part of the problem that led to that decision.

Update 31 Oct 2022: Strange New Worlds writer Akela Cooper's doing the same. There are others adding themselves to that list, I think. This will probably be discussed in later entries.
