Pine Seedling
May. 16th, 2022 07:42 amI am trying to grow a pine seedling rescued about a month ago from between our house and our next door neighbour's. I say "rescued" because other people would likely have simply chucked the seedling into the green bin for composting upon finding it. I didn't want it growing to mess up the foundations of the two houses, and I didn't want to throw it away either. I will try to upload a picture of the seedling's current lodgings later in the week.

Oct. 11th, 2020 04:58 pmTook out a couple of bags of paper for recycling this morning (which won't be going to the curb until a week from Wednesday). Sold off some unused tracing paper tentatively to a friend who's made my masks for me. Applied on four jobs this afternoon.

Oh, I might be looking for a new place for me and my personal library to live starting next January.
"Might?" Probably will be. Long story, not all of it mine to share. Not right now, anyway. Not going to count on lottery money showing up to save anyone's day, let alone mine. But, yeah, this adds a little urgency for unloading some of my collections.

Jun. 5th, 2020 01:35 pm- Downloading resources for use with my existing Clip Studio Paint installation this morning.
- Checking job boards.
- Networking for mental health purposes.
- Assorted laundry and kitchen chores.
- Banking chores.
- Shopping, related to kitchen chores.
- Keeping up with trusted news sources.
- Exercise.
All crossed off the to-do list for today. So far.
Neighbourhood looks busier than it ought to, I think, even with Ford pushing for the province to move into Phase One of their reopening plan. Parking lots and street traffic are heavier than I feel safe with.
Cold chicken samosas for lunch, no salsa sauce this time.

May. 23rd, 2020 08:11 pmHouse chores done, bought a license for Serif's Affinity suite of graphic design 'ware today. I haven't installed it yet because the machine closest to hosting the software in my ownership right now is...well...not ideal. Even at OSX 10.10.5 and 6 GB of RAM. As for what I hope to get in the way of ideal, second-hand hardware...not here yet. More when I know it.
It's a busy-quiet day overall, though, for me and my co-residents of the house. Not discussing their lives here either.

Snow Day Update I
Feb. 13th, 2019 12:23 pmJust got in from clearing snow away from the vent pipes for the furnace and water heater. I'm not sure which set of vent pipes service which device, but one pair was covered by snow. Glad I got to them when I did.
Just did some culling of feeds and deactivated friendlisters' accounts from my LJ friendlist. Seemed like the thing to do tonight. Slowly migrating a few more things over to Dreamwidth.
(And yes, still the same username at Dreamwidth as at LJ. I was surprised to find the username available, honestly. Glad, but surprised.)
