Pine Seedling

I am trying to grow a pine seedling rescued about a month ago from between our house and our next door neighbour's. I say "rescued" because other people would likely have simply chucked the seedling into the green bin for composting upon finding it. I didn't want it growing to mess up the foundations of the two houses, and I didn't want to throw it away either. I will try to upload a picture of the seedling's current lodgings later in the week.

I do like trees. When I owned more land I planned to join the Arbor Day Foundation or suchlike but then we moved.

Many years ago a rescued a scrawny little 10 inch high pine sapling. I originally placed it in a bucket so it wouldn't get mowed over. After a year or so I gave it to a friend of mine to plant near the side of her house.

My friend passed away from cancer several years ago, but the tree still stands - over 50 feet tall.

From little seedlings great things can grown.
