dewline: Three question marks representing puzzlement (Puzzlement 2)
I understand the new series based on comics written by Greg Rucka is premiering on CTV (Canada) and ABC (USA) tonight. Who else is planning on watching, either at broadcast time or later with PVR assistance?

Thanks again, Greg. This time, for pointing this thing out to one and all. Something I need to keep bookmarked. Same goes for anyone else looking for this kind of work, even though I'm making trouble for myself saying it.

A quick and dirty video guide to the history of those who wore the mask of the Question before Flashpoint. Includes interview footage of Dennis O'Neil, Greg Rucka, Rick Burchett and Jeffrey Combs.

Thought I'd do some spreading of a word that I think is particularly good for reasons of my own, involving the DC Comics title Crime Bible: the Five Books of Blood.

Written by Greg Rucka, starring the character of Renee Montoya, the second Question, it deals with a new/old force in the DC Universe. I'll let Eric Trautmann, Greg's occasional writing partner on Checkmate, explain his reasons for starting the advocacy...

And afterwards, support his plea with my own under the cut... )

Some of you may have noticed Greg Rucka's gotten himself onto LJ at [livejournal.com profile] ruckawriter. Seems he's got another one of those novels of his featuring bodyguard Atticus Kodiak out in the shops as of this past week.

I've got pretty much the whole set, barring this latest installment. And seeing as I'm in one of those lean times where I can't yet afford all the books I want to buy, I still feel Greg's work is worthy of your support. It's right on the list next to that Bill Mauldin book I spotted at Perfect Books last weekend.

Just a thought.

Too tired now for much of anything, except to point out a link to an interview re: a comic book series I'm planning on regularly picking up. My retailer's been Notified, and if I don't see it in my inbox, they will hear from me about it.

The book is Checkmate from DC Comics. The writer is Greg Rucka, whose stuff I've been pleased with before, and noted the fact here on this blog. The interview is here, at Newsarama.

If you're like me in that you sometimes want hardcore dirty politics mixed with your superheroics, then I strongly suspect that this will be a Good Book to Pick Up.

And on that note, I'm calling it a night. Back to you, friends and neighbourszzzzzz.....
