An office chair that I believe I've owned and used since before my father died - back in 2002 - is slowly going to pieces under me. Therefore, in order to keep myself in good working order - whether that work is data entry, document review, map design or comic book illustration - I finally bought a new chair from the local Jysk store. I'm putting myself further in the hole to do this, yes. My first pay from my now-underway latest job will be deposited in four days from tonight, therefore I feel the need to Get This Done anyway. The less distracted I am from whatever work I have in front of me right now, the better, right?

The chair is described as a "gaming chair", and it's branded as "Snertinge". Apparently, it's so new to its Canadian stores, that it hasn't been added to their web catalogue as of today!

The people I share this house with think I should just put it to the curb and be done. I plan to advertise it on TrashNothing.com, offering it as either repairable or as parts for a repair job. Why not at least try to keep it out of landfill, right?

Of course, I haven't really rested today. The following things got done today:

- vacuumed two floors of the house
- picked out stars to host a half-dozen or so planets on that Edge of Midnight map project
- did two walking/shopping trips mainly for exercise
- practiced a bit more for Clip Studio Paint via the Cintiq tablet/monitor
- uploaded a scan of a sketch I drew for my Amateur Press Alliance back in 2006 to various social media outlets for the sake of self-promotion and because of Batman Day
- cleaned up some of my kitchen mess
- applied for another job
- cleaned my CPAP gear, as I need to do each weekend
- wrote a note of comment to the Ottawa Board of Health about protection measures against SARS-CoV-2 and other contagions of note and worry

I'd like to get a new "office/studio" chair, but barring some surprise via trashnothing.com, that's probably not going to happen soon. The one I use currently leans a bit to my right because of years of my leaning to that side when I sit down in it. Also, it deflates an inch after a certain amount of time sitting down.

I got the Cintiq hooked up to my iMac.

One more thing I need to do for this to work well: I need to find something - preferably not a book - to elevate the iMac on my desk so that I can fully view both screens at the office/studio workstation in the basement. The HP external monitor's going to go unused for a while, I think.

This is officially a thing in Ottawa now.

They're going to need to set up branches in several parts of the city, I suspect.

I know what the weather looks like outside: I spent the better part of an hour walking through it this morning for exercise. And yet, I don't feel like I've got anything resembling the blahs right now.

I've gotten a new bookshelf unit installed in the library(long overdue) thus improving the utility of the whole studio set-up, I'm making progress on pages for my comics project again(more on that anon), and I've got leads on a couple of other projects that will keep my brain ticking over in a productively entertaining fashion if they come off as hoped.

More as I think of it...and back to you!
