They have this "Listen" service at CBC's Online operations. Which currently includes not only regional streaming feeds from their radio service, but also 184 playlists covering themes of interest. Some are devoted to specific genres, others to music that shows up on specific CBC TV series, others of different parts of the world outside Canada...
Anyway, in the hopes that all this isn't geo-locked against people living outside Canada, here's the link:
https://www.cbc.ca/listen/
Maybe this helps a little?

Rolling Around the Town
Sep. 7th, 2019 10:56 pmI went to the City Archives for the vinyl LP music sale today. There were hopes that I could find stuff for a relative to fill out gaps in their blues/jazz collection, but that wasn't to be. Turns out the donor's collection was largely performances of material written well before 1900 CE. Some soundtracks from the 1950's to the 1970's, some French-language pop music of the same vintage, some military tunes, and so on...but nothing that seemed to fit what I was looking for. Not this time, anyway.
Seeing all the albums with CBC/Radio Canada branding on the album covers annoyed me for one simple reason: I miss seeing CBC products available at retail outlets. Yes, there's streaming audio and video these days, and a lot of people rightly find it helpful. Not the same, though.

Searchlight 2017
Jan. 21st, 2017 07:39 amGood morning, and good luck.
(At least it was local morning when I wrote this.)
CBC Music's starting up another edition of their annual Searchlight competition, for those Canadians reading this with an eye on music as part of their income-earning or sanity-supporting programmes.
Details on their YouTube channel on how to enter.
With diligence and luck, Canada's music library will improve in both size and quality as a result. It usually does.

Music Recording on the ISS
Jan. 14th, 2016 08:31 pmSome friends of mine in ByMUG will be pleased with this.
Future stations and ships will, one suspects, have their own "sweet spots" for such projects.
