Confirmed by Deadline, Variety and the Hollywood Reporter:

Tatiana Maslany is the MCU's Jennifer "She-Hulk" Walters.

From Orphan Black to Perry Mason to this. I expect there to be a lot of kvelling (?) from MCU fans in Regina in particular and Saskatchewan in general tonight.

I was hoping for her to end up in an Alpha Flight show, but this will probably work out well.

I suppose Mr. Ruffalo will be showing up as supporting cast? If they're keeping the family connection - their comics counterparts are cousins - I'd expect that.

There's been some discussion among fan circles about pushing for Jeffrey Coombs - you remember him as the several Weyouns on DS9 or Shran on Enterprise - to play Pike's friend and medical officer Philip Boyce from "The Cage". Coombs doesn't seem to think it likely, and while I'd rather he were wrong enough about that to actually get a call to read for it...there was an alternative option discussed recently on TrekBBS.

Eric Peterson.

Canadian actor, career goes back about 40 years if it's been a day. You might have seen or heard him on either version of Corner Gas, and if you've seen enough reruns of Canadian TV, you might recall him as Leon on the original Street Legal. Granted that he's 73 at this point, but I like the idea and we're opposed to ageism on principle anyway. How about you?

Cue the 1960's TV series theme by Edwin Astley, people.

Somehow, this strikes me as odd. I mentioned this to the gang at TrekBBS: I can see Pine as a young John Henry Fernack (from The Saint in New York and later stories set in the US). But not as Templar.

(If he actually knows and enjoys the novels and short-story collections, though, I might be persuaded.)

No, that was not a mistaken choice of words for a subject header. By way of explanation:

I'd have figured that guy for a movie gig first.

I'm taking it that this constitutes Very Good News:

Opinions?

Go read this item by Warren Ellis.

Then tell me what you think of the list of candidates in the included casting memo.
