Cue the 1960's TV series theme by Edwin Astley, people.

Somehow, this strikes me as odd. I mentioned this to the gang at TrekBBS: I can see Pine as a young John Henry Fernack (from The Saint in New York and later stories set in the US). But not as Templar.

(If he actually knows and enjoys the novels and short-story collections, though, I might be persuaded.)

Somehow I fear that this does not auger well.

I still haven't seen the one-off TV movie (pilot for a series that was never made with added material) with Eliza Dushku as Patricia Holm, and I would really like to...

We have enjoyed watching the original collection of The Saint films from the 1930s and 1940s. Our favorite detective movies from that era are the Thin Man series.

Huh. Dunno. I can't say that I picture him as a suave, subtle type, but that's the point of acting: to portray a role in something that you don't expect.

Maybe it'll work. To me it's counter-type, but who knows.

As long as it's not Val Kilmer in whatever wasn't The Saint, it should be an improvement.

I was just thinking that I'd love to see the 1968 series It Takes A Thief again, the one with Robert Wagner. I didn't realize it also starred Fred Astaire.
