I went to the event described in this article:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/ottawa-racist-graffiti-solidarity-synagogue-1.3859097

I couldn't not go. Not with the news of acts of vandalism across the city, and the ongoing concerns about the US political situation that many see as one of the triggers of these crimes. It helped me with my anxiety issues for several good hours.

I hope that I was of help to others by being there.

Something I was reminded of this morning, via the CBC's Sunday Edition. You won't agree with all the choices of the authors on that list and that's right and proper, but maybe it'll start a discussion of equally helpful alternatives or additions.

...and while I don't recall having met this particular missing person, she's dear to at least one of my friendly acquaintances. So just in case this is of any help in finding her, preferably safe and well again...

Revisiting some old turf tonight, because it needs doing.

One of my acquaintances is a guy named Justin Beach. He's been running a website, PublicBroadcasting.ca, devoted to the promotion and preservation of public broadcasting in Canada. I've helped out here and there and hope to keep doing so.

One of the offshoots of that site is one of the blogs Justin operates: Circles Around the Square.

I suggest to everyone reading my blog that you go take a look. If you find that what you see there speaks to you, or for you, bookmark it for regular visits.

Thanks, everyone.

More on other stuff later...

...passed word of that project to me.

John Morgan Neal's Aym Geronimo is getting a book of her own.

Aym and her cast of characters have been around at Shooting Star, owned and operated by a number of friends and friendly acquaintances from my days in the West End Games DCU RPG freelancer pool for a while now. It's good to see John take Aym to the "solo book" level finally...
