...the USB keyboard attached to my laptop computer at the moment, specifically. There was some weirdness making itself felt with a particular website and a particular browser a few minutes ago. The issue does not seem to be making itself felt in the same browser here on LJ.

Guessing that it's website-specific.

Weird Habits of LJ

I've noticed over this weekend that LJ has developed a tic. Or a habit. Not sure what the right word for it is, but here it is: after a certain - variable - amount of "inactive" time, LJ will kick you out and you have to log back in again. This was not always the case, and the practice as presently coded into the website is an annoyance to me.

The suspicion exists that I am not alone in either the experience or the annoyance.

Anyone else?

Okay, updating Firefox from 17 to 18 doesn't seem to help matters. My Livejournal - on Firefox - still looks like this:



Chrome and Safari? It still looks exactly as I want it to on those browsers.

I'm not seeing the regular sidebar coloration, nor the scattered typewriter keys I want to see on my LJ. Is anyone else?
