If anyone had told me when I was a child reading astronomy atlases that I would live long enough for images such as these to become available to the average human beings of any and almost all countries, I might have laughed. Or maybe not. I was already a fan of Space: 1999 and Star Trek by the time I hit grade 4.

The European Space Agency maintains a Flickr account of its own. Here's one of the things they've been noticing of late via Earth-observation stuff.

Guessing that we're going to need to speed up (re)building our own launch capacities. Also, add more dance partners to the ISS projects.

I'm thinking of - at minimum - India, South Africa, Australia, Brazil. Some of them are going to be in better position to contribute soon than others, obviously.
