Self-Reintroduction - March 2015
Mar. 15th, 2015 08:27 pmOkay, for some of you just getting used to my meanderings here, there's some explanation possibly needed. Regulars can and should feel free to skip this post.
Hi. I'm Dwight Williams. Sometime office worker, sometime writer, sometime artist with pencil, pen and ink or pixels. All of it underemployed, no matter what time of year.
The weblog is where I chat about whatever I feel free to admit is catching my attention at whatever given moment. Owing to certain promises made to past/present employers, relatives, friends, etc., I won't feel free to discuss everything that comes to mind. I apologize for that up-front, but that's not going to change.
That said, the topics covered here are going to cover a fairly wide range. I could segue from politics to typography to map-making to hockey to urban infrastructure in a single post, never mind a single day. There will be topic-whiplash. Not "may be". Will be.
I believe there's a place for a united, multicultural, multilingual, strong, independent-as-possible, somewhat left-of-political-centre Canada in these worlds we live in. And that place is not yet to be in history's dustbin. Not by any means.
I have a taste for space opera and superheroes in my pop culture fiction.
I hope to learn as much as talk here.
