Unhappiness over movie scheduling: Iron Man 3

I'd announced a Friday trip to see Iron Man 3 in normal, 2-D format on the Ottawa SF Society's meetup.com page. The only thing I thought I needed to worry about was which theatre for us to meet at.

Either the movie theatre chains or Disney-Marvel - perhaps both, as I am not privy to the details - may have pre-empted my plans and forced me to wait for the DVD.

I'm not seeing any times for this upcoming Friday night at any Ottawa movie theatre via ottawakiosk.com as of this morning.

That's a bug of the system for handling show times *in*general*: only the show times from the previous Thursday until the next Thursday are given. Period.

Friday is, from this system's PoV, "over the horizon". Nobody will be able to see Friday's times until late Thursday evening. Trying to reach a live person won't help; they'll just say "That's next week's info; we don't have it."

Sigh. Picking a different weekday is the best solution to this.

Except that that doesn't mesh with my own work/sleep cycle, poorly maintained creature that it is these days.
