ttallan, got caught up with a dozen or so other friends and friendly acquaintances from around the region, got my memory refreshed on the state of planet-hunting research by a gent from the Carleton U physics department...all in all, an entertaining day.
Also, hopefully today I get the MacBook Pro back from the Apple repair shop. New logic board should have been thoroughly checked out by now, and I plan on dropping back into the downtown between panels to pick the thing up.
(Yes, I know: I could pay as much for a refurbished old MBP as for repairs on the one I've got. What can I say?)
