Collected every second week on the same night as garbage.

Date: 2010-10-21 10:54 am (UTC)We also have a green one, but I'm not sure where it came from. One thing I've noticed over the years is that people sometimes take their recycling bins with them to other cities; one of my parents' neighbours in Toronto has/had a Calgary bin.
My trash situation is a little complicated
Date: 2010-10-21 11:23 am (UTC)BUT, I do get recycling pick up. They gave me 2 orange boxes that I can put mixed plastic and glass into, stack broken down corrugated next to, tied newspaper on top of and put a bag of mixed paper by.
Towns in my county don't have recycling on the street. Charlotte does but is the only place I've seen in NC that does. Two large blue trash cans with flapping lids and white lettering that says what does in which one next to regular metal baskets for trash. They take glass and plastic, separately, iirc.
