Some changes in train industry hereabouts
Feb. 17th, 2020 02:53 pmBombardier just announced the sale of their train-making division - the one with the plant in Thunder Bay, where they've had troubles getting new gear to the TTC in a timely way - to Alstom....who built OC Transpo's new O-Train gear for Lines 1 and 2. Apparently, the trains Alstom sold OC Transpo? They were the first of their make and model to enter service anywhere on Earth. So we got to play lab rat in more than one way, and we're still dealing with the consequences of that.
