Migrations

I am concerned that a lot of people now crossing the US-Canada border into Canada are doing so because they no longer see the US as "safe enough". And that they may well be right to see the situation in those terms. I think the "Safe Third Country" agreement may have to be set aside as a danger to people in need of real protection from real dangers.

Exoplanet Update - May 2018

As of this morning, per exoplanet.eu: 3,767 exoplanets, orbiting 2,816 stars.

What a difference five or six months makes, huh? And GAIA, TESS et al. will be adding to that count even faster...

Three Points

1. Okay, my errands and movie-watching are done for today. I'm home now. Not sure just how tired I am at this point. But I got my time and money's worth from Infinity War.

2. As regards the Koch Brothers: Guessing they're going to have people trying to meddle in Canada too. I have a problem with that.

3. I have a problem with this thing with Aecon and China Communications Construction Corporation. Because, with "Xi Xinping Thought" in play, that means someone thinks Canada is a province to be taken away from someone else's empire rather than a nation - or. perhaps more accurately, a legitimate alliance of nations - in its own right.
