Not a great day.

Went out for a haircut because of the interview planned for Wednesday morning, but I got to the barber shop too late in the afternoon: just after 2 PM. Long story, there, and I only had my neurology to blame for that.

Ditto for losing one of the two shopping bags I took downtown with me to the barber shop. Not sure where or how I lost it, but it's gone and I'm not getting it back. Even if it made it to OC Transpo Lost and Found at Heartwood House.

I can't yet find the right kind of bandage for the bridge of my nose. I guess I need to keep fiddling with the CPAP mask. I had a comfortable fit with the old mask for the better part of a year. Now, with this one? I had it tight enough to raise a welt.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far for dealing with the problem. I keep thinking it should be a simple matter of adjusting the fastening straps...

Once you have a sore, even loosening the straps won't stop the mask from hurting the wound. After the wound has healed, if you still want it to be that tight, I would recommend Scholl's moleskin:
https://www.drscholls.com/p/foot-blisters/moleskin-plus-padding-roll/

I know it is for preventing foot blisters, but I have used it for a lot of things. The most recent was on a new cane handgrip that was made of that horrible sticky fake-rubber crap. That stuff blistered my hand, so I covered the whole grip with moleskin.

I don't generally use the stuff with padding because it lets the moleskin move on it's own, which doesn't work to protect my skin, but have a look at both kinds in a store to see what you think.

When used on skin to prevent blisters/chaffing/wounding, a person often needs to replace it each day, but it comes in cuttable sheets, so you only use exactly what you need.

Hah. This is all I can find on the Canadian site:
https://www.drscholls.ca/en/search/moleskin
Figures they would discontinue useful stuff. Anyhoo - see if the stores have better stocks.

Also - wasn't thinking explicitly last night - you can stick the moleskin to the troublesome item (the mask) and not yourself, and then you only do it once.

I already somehow had two backpacks left in the train (one of them was found later).
