I remember that back in 2010(?), there was a Concern about DeviantArt policy requiring its users to self-identify as either "male" or "female", with no other gender self-identification options available. Did that get remedied? If so, when and how?

I've a feeling it did but it's been a while since I was on my DA account.

Just logged in to look and as as far as I can see they don't ask for a gender identity at all which is fair enough

They are. Looks like they finally got the kinks worked out of their latest site redesign to allow people with much older browsers to visit properly again.

Hmmm...

When I log in and look at the "General" page under "Personal Information", they give me a dropdown for "Pronouns" (WT?); the options there are:



He/Him
She/Her
They/Them

...with a further option of:

Show/Don't Show

I'm not a "core member" (whatever that is, other then $$$), and I sure don't remember what I saw when I signed up way back when.

...I suppose that's an improvement, as far as it goes. Small improvement.
