It's like he is viewing other countries as business competitors, rather than as partners he'll have to deal with for years afterwards.

I think back to Inauguration Day 2017. He warned us then, via the speech that Bannon and Miller wrote for him: "America first". We were warned again by that USDoD report published back around the end of 2017 about how his regime intended to deal with international relations.

Frankly, I can understand other countries wanting absolutely nothing to do with the US. I've felt this way before during Bush43's regime, but 45 has upped the game with his genocidal fascist grifting.
