Okay.
I've seen Endgame.
Mind blown. Heart broken at four or five different points in the movie...and worth it.
Not sure how much more to say in this posting. But I guess we can discuss spoilers in the comments?

Spoilers!
Date: 2019-04-29 04:25 am (UTC)Shelley and I are looking for another viewing in another week or so; I'm hoping for IMAX on one of these 95F days: there is simply so much to process.
Your tidbit: within the end credits is the listing Rocket Raccoon created by Bill Mantlo and Keith Giffen. ...and I still have the t-shirt.
Musings:
"Time travel" was handled as well as I've ever read or seen. Paradoxes were avoided (but still available); the breakdowns were processed and moved things forward; they nailed Cap and Carter (the end-of-arc was well done and called back to Heinlein's The Door into Summer); the Jarvis actor from "Agent Carter" is Stark senior's driver; Thor and Mom...
Tony? Yeah, but... Yeah.
Natasha? Nope, damn it (wife still angry).
A new set of Guardians for Phase 4? ...and others for that arc?
We'll have to see the Spiderman movie to see WT? is up with that suit!
Too many callbacks to remember, but, oh, so nice to see!
Re: Spoilers!
Date: 2019-04-29 11:44 am (UTC)I missed the specific character-creation credits. One more thing to go back for.
Musings responses:
1. Time travel seems to have hewed pretty close to Mark Gruenwald's rules of Marvel Comics time travel here. Good to see Edwin from Agent Carter, and I still wish there'd been Agents of SHIELD representation in the cast, but it seems as if the TV series crew aim to tell stories set in the MCU Five Year Gap. So it might have locked them into things to do so.
2. Tony: This had to be, huh?
3. Natasha: well, that foreclosed on one thing I was still actively hoping for. Among other reactions, I share your wife's anger.
4. We'll see about the Guardians. And since Hemsworth is willing to play along with Gunn and company...
5. Spider-Man and company at Midtown, Queens: Looks like some of his classmates may have been "dusted" along with him, and that's the thing I wonder most about. I have to think he's going to want to retire that Iron Spider suit, partly because of the memories associated with it. Everything from Tony to...well, he was back from the dead barely an hour and there he was at the remains of Avengers Compound, fighting like he was at Normandy Beach. "Instant kill mode" wasn't a joke, and that battle was why Tony built it into the suit.
MCU Peter is going to need therapy.
