dewlineConfession: I never met the man. Or at least, given the state of my memory right now, I don't recall the meeting if it ever did happen.
I know what he gave to me as an X-Men and Legion fan, though, if nothing else. And I know of others who got some of that same joy and wonder from his handiwork, probably more than I did in several cases. Some of them have already posted on their own blogs or Usenet or elsewhere. And if they haven't, then it's only a matter of time.
So all I have as a stranger and a reader is this to say:
Ave atque vale, Mr. Cockrum.
