I know what he gave to me as an X-Men and Legion fan, though, if nothing else. And I know of others who got some of that same joy and wonder from his handiwork, probably more than I did in several cases. Some of them have already posted on their own blogs or Usenet or elsewhere. And if they haven't, then it's only a matter of time.
So all I have as a stranger and a reader is this to say:
Ave atque vale, Mr. Cockrum.

Date: 2006-11-26 11:19 pm (UTC)That is terrible news, I need to e-mail Paty... I knew he was in a bad way, last time I saw him he was in a wheelchair, but in good spirits, still talking to the fans and just being a hell of a guy.
That news hit me like a ton of bricks. I don't know what to say.
There will never be another like him.
