Local Hero: Halfway Mark

dewlineI've got just about half the work on Local Hero # 1, as I write this. It's taken over three and a half years to get to this point, and I'd have loved to get to it far sooner.
This, as much as anything else, is what's been keeping me off the convention circuit this year. As noted in my V-Con posting awhile back, I hope for things to have changed for the better by October.
But as has been attributed to some famous fictional ETs, "what is, is".
