Well, there have been linkages documented. I'm not certain that the documenters are entirely impartial -- as if I am??? -- but here's one such site (http://harperstiestousa.org/) for anyone interested.

I doubt that the real journalists will let themselves be completely shut out. Mr. Harper's been fighting to institute White House-style press conference rules over the objections of the Parliamentary Press Gallery for some weeks now, and the Gallery are giving as good as they're getting. I recommend a dig through Antonia's archives for some of the stories about that dispute.
