About the Trek Writers' Rooms?

A suggestion to the people currently care-taking for the Star Trek franchise, one that Larry and David Ellison may well try to prevent the heeding of: the writing teams need people who have served in military or NGO contexts, or have survived as refugees and/or dissidents.

I remember that Discovery made a point of casting them from time to time during its run.

Might be good if SFA got back to that as well.

Casting is one thing, but SNW's tendency to reinforce that a life with disability is not worth living pissed me off as much as its gratuitous heteronormativity and gender and race essentialism (I'm pretty sure Disco, at least, had some queer writers and maybe even some Black ones).
