Books/Railfandom: Logomotive by Jonathan Glancey

Based on a commentary by Athena Scalzi some two weeks ago, I decided to recommend this one to my local public library. This morning, I logged into OPL's web services and got confirmation that Logomotive has been ordered!

Looking forward to reading it as soon as OPL gets it logged into their collection for loan-out...

First item: Porter's Island Bridge - built in 1894. Possible designation as heritage property, closed off since the 1970's to pedestrian usage. Porter's Island was originally used as a plague hospital site, later as Depression-era emergency housing, and currently hosts two seniors' apartment towers accessible by another bridge.

Yesterday, I saw three rabbits chasing one another around the back yard. Managed to get about 40 seconds of video footage, too, but not sure whether I want to upload it or not.

Now, I'm wondering what Hudson Group's interest in buying those tabloids was. And does Dufry AG's leadership understand what their Hudson Group subsidiary has taken on? If so, why? If not, why not?
