These facts are not new:

We can't afford to not change. We can use this crisis to leverage positive changes. Some of us are in fact doing that work.

Listening to The Sunday Edition on the radio at the moment, hearing a discussion between Michael Enright and one of those people doing that work at a church-sermon level with the wider public, Charles Taylor.

To my trans friends across the world:

I have been reminded this morning of perils that some of you are still facing, or are facing once again because of changes in government wherever you live.

I know how little it costs me here and now, living in Canada during the age of Trudeau the Younger as I do right now, and I still say it: you need no excusing for your existence. You are as you need to be. I accept and respect this, without reservation.
