A Question on Journalism

Whilst slogging my way through what I now call "Spring Lung-Cleaning Season", I've recently been meditating on -- among other things -- the journalistic careers, fictional or real, of the likes of Superman, Spider-Man and Edward R. Murrow for reasons not entirely clear to me yet.

I don't know that I've reached any conclusions as a result of these thoughts just yet, but I've stumbled into a question I'd like to put forward:

Does Canada have in its history anyone who might be considered anywhere near the same caliber as Murrow?

I'd be interested in any opinions that might be offered on this subject.
