Or, at least, to stop buying new books set in that version of our galaxy. I've been reading them since Honor Among Enemies was released in paperback. So...about twenty years now.

Mainly, if it happens, it's going to be due to what I'm reading second-hand of series author David Weber's apparent non-reaction to the Trumpist crowd now apparently dominating the online forum Baen's Bar as administered by Baen Books from several of you. I'm not expecting a happy reaction to whatever Mr. Weber's posted to Facebook about the matter when I see it for myself later tonight.

Which will be cause for some sadness. But it won't be the first time fictional characters proved (mostly) better people than their creator/designer/primary actor on-screen in recent memory. Will it?

More later, I suppose. One way or another.

I had to drop him too.

Not sure if I changed, or he changed, but his books aren't something I can read any more.

To be honest I dropped buying him because I felt the last couple of books were both bloated and bad.

I may still get him from the library, tho with Honor basically over I dunno.

I think the last book I read was after the stealth fleet wiped out the Manties' fleet and they teamed up their former enemies to prepare to pound the Sollies flat. He seemed to become so disinterested in releasing those books in a timely fashion, so I became disinterested in looking for them.

I know he was feeling boxed into a corner as he had planned to kill Honor off somewhat early in the series and fan outrage changed his mind and he kept her, still.

Yeah, that's quite a mess over there. I haven't read anything by Correa and his ilk in ages, if at all. I threw out all my Ringos, literally into the trash. The ones he co-authored with Weber aren't nearly as hideous as the ones he solo wrote. I rarely buy single books anymore, most I buy in ebook bundles from Humble, Bundle of Holding, or the Hugo package.
