...with searching for work and researching for an article I hope to have written by tonight. The article is somewhat inspired by and focused upon that Planning Primer at City Hall I went to last week. I think that Spacing Ottawa might find a home for it, but we'll see how it goes. In the meantime, I'll get whatever's done by tonight reviewed by the Pen and Paper Writing Workshop gang at the Rideau Branch of the Ottawa Library.

As for the job search, it seems a good idea to show, don't tell. You may remember earlier postings about the Federal Job Bank. This is what I was complaining about:

I know you run old equipment. What version of your browser are you running, i.e., how far down below the current release are you?

Looking at that, my guess is their CSS is not rendering correctly, not detecting it's not doing it, and not failing over well. I'd take a screen shot and try to mail it to their web people. I don't know if there's anything they can do about it. You might have to go to a public library computer to access it.

Considering that this effect obtains in Firefox versions 48 and 72 for Mac OS X, v.72 being the most recent that I know of, I suspect that it's not a function of version aging.

I'll be checking via other means later in the week.

Yup, I'd then agree with you.  Bollixed CSS methinks with no testing, or they're testing with only one browser/OS and proclaiming 'all good'.

I have just sent off a note of complaint about the page formatting to Service Canada. Finally. My mistake has been in waiting this long to file the complaint, really.
