APPLE: iTunes is Still Useful to Me As Is
Jun. 3rd, 2019 04:31 pmI know what the rumour mills are passing along.
I'm still not done with iTunes yet as an all-media-in-one-piece-of-software thing.
Not sorry.

Date: 2019-06-04 04:22 pm (UTC)I'm not keen on the breakup of iTunes. It makes sense on one level, but it is very convenient to have all-in-one for many. They have already broken out iPhone app refresh, which massively pissed me off and ruined my all-in-one experience. So now you have to go to three places to sync things up unless you want to do it all wirelessly, which I do not want to do?
If it weren't for my deep dislike of Android, I'd be tempted to ditch my iPhone. In fact, if someone made a flip phone that had a mobile hotspot I'd be there in a proverbial New York minute.
I'm seriously considering retro-grading my iMac to Sierra. It's more than a little bit of work, but it would be convenient to have both at the same revision level. The problem is that it will long-term cause some apps to freeze when the coding toolkits advance with the current OS beyond support of the old ones, as you have learned.
