Reading Update - 28 December 2017

Just finished Persepolis Rising from the Expanse series. Starting on Andy Weir's Artemis and Masha Gessen's Man Without a Face biography of Putin. After that, hopefully Linden McIntyre's The Only Cafe, since that was one of the gifts I got this Christmas.

I would be interested what you thought of the book written about Putin.

I put off this one for too long already. I need to know more about Putin. Also, Gessen's been targeted with death threats for (a) her journalism - including this book - and (b) for being "out". Three reasons to read it right there.

I finished Persepolis Rising a few days back. I'll be interested to know what you think of Artemis. I've seen such mixed reviews (which mostly seem to boil down to "not as good as The Martian"). Please post your impressions once you've read it.

For now, I'll leave it at this: "not as good as The Martian" is unfair to both books.
