...I thought I'd reiterate a "welcome home" to someone whose work I've been enjoying of late: John Rogers. Some of you may know of his work already. He's getting resettled here in Bytown on Rideau, and I suspect he's watching the playoffs tonight on CBC with the same degree of hope I am. Here's hoping the game plays out the way we both want, John!

Well, as far as last night's playoff match went, I think we're both reasonably pleased with the outcome. It's a minor annoyance that it took two overtime periods for the Sens to get the win, but at least the string of "second game of every playoff series" losses is finally broken. A supersititious fan might well consider that a good omen of things to come.
