dewline: Benton Fraser: "Thank you kindly." (gratitude)
I can't say I didn't keep looking. I can't say I didn't keep trying to learn new skills and update old ones. I can't say I didn't have help to keep going throughout this whole year no matter what. And yes, I've been making mistakes throughout this whole year.

You've been some of that help that's kept me going in spite of everything this year. I am grateful to you all for that.

Making a note of these links about the language around space exploration that we have right now, as well as about the language we need from now on.

And this is just for Anglophone humans. What about the other languages we humans are speaking, or will speak?

You might not think there's adventure to be had in learning another language. I would disagree with that.

Anyway, Perry Bellegarde, National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations, has put forward a challenge to the country. An intellectual, financial and logistical challenge.

We ought to rise to that challenge as best we can. It's going to take a few decades, yes. It'll be worth the effort.

A challenge - which I'm crossposting on several net.venues today:

[livejournal.com profile] budgie_uk pointed out a song to me by a gent name of Mitch Benn, "I'm Proud of the BBC". It's been making the rounds across the anglophonic portion of the Net, and quite possibly beyond that corner for a few months now. It's even generating some spin-off merchandise of its own.

And I like listening to it.

And it got me thinking.

It's no secret I have a pro-CBC/Radio Canada bias. Have had such for a longish while now. Some of you reading this posting - wherever you're reading it - share in that bias, and rightly so.

The point: I'd like to see a fan-song extolling the historical and present virtues of the Ceeb. I don't quite know what rules to set on the thing so we don't run afoul of any laws or lawsuits. I just know I don't have the lyrical talent we need for this.

HELP!!!
