OMUG II: After-Action Report

As I start writing this, it's been nearly an hour since the announced start time...
The only responses I've gotten were a bit of deserved snark at
ottawa over my lack of web page design flair -- "I'm a cartoonist, not a web designer, Jim!" -- a good meal, and an inquiry about the group from one of the wait-staff on duty. Oh, and a birds' eye view of local amateur-level hockey as practiced here at the Ray Friel Centre.
Not that I'm giving up on this by any means. I suspect that starting such a group in the run-up to Christmas was likely not the best of ideas. With all the dashing away of the shopping crowd, this sort of result should be expected for this time of year. That couldn't be helped. When the muse calls, you answer or you freeze in the wind where they left you.
I still don't think it's the worst of ideas, though. There are Mac users here, they could use some way to meet regularly that's reasonably close to home, and I think I can be of some help.
I've got a word out to Monitor Magazine to get the group officially listed in their hardcopy editions, there's a home page now up(which will be getting spruced up as I figure out the best way to do so), and more will be done in 2007.
Yep, the 2007 Goals List is already being compiled. Suggestions will be taken in due course.
And back to you...
