Not entirely sure where my mood is right now. I do have a sense of feeling busy, though. So there's a bit of ground I'd like to cover today.
Comics
On the Local Hero front, I'm reasonably certain of this much: at least the first issue will almost certainly - barring accidents, happy or not, in both Brisbane and Ottawa - be ready for a Spring release. I'll have the artwork wrapped up within the next 2-3 weeks. I'm admittedly imperfect, yet perfectionist at the same time.
CBC Thoughts as a Private Citizen
Something I've been thinking about the last couple of days: CBC/Radio-Canada's set up one of their merchandise boutiques - such as you'd normally see in their Broadcast Centres in Toronto, Ottawa and points elsewhere across Canada - at Place d'Orléans Mall in Orléans. Not something I'd expected, but I would definitely call it a pleasant surprise.
I'm wondering if perhaps this shouldn't also be a precursor to a greater presence in my neck of the Ottawa woods, among many other places across the country. Not just souvenir/merchandise outlets either, but "precinct house"-style storefront mini-broadcast centres. Complete with their own production facilities and news bureaus, on whatever scale's justifiable and workable.
In the case of Orléans, setting up such a broadcasting "precinct house" may prove to be fairly easy to arrange soon. The RCMP are - so far as I know from asking around at the Place - getting ready to move their offices out of that mall, so there's going to be a sizable chunk of square-footage opening up.
Just a thought.

Plenty of offense intended to the leaders of those companies who want us all to abandon VHS-tech, Elayne, but for all the usefulness of the newer generations of gear, I'm not done with VHS just yet. Not just yet.
Nor am I done with vinyl LPs either! I've still got albums I want to listen to on occasion in that format, too.
Thanks for sharing the Michael Moore link. While not of your nation, I've often thought that Mr. Moore there has a sane and oft-decent head on his shoulders. This latest open letter proves it.
Agreed also on the Fox News memo link. Brrrr.

Happy Birthday!
Congratulations on surviving another one, and I hope you had fun in the process!
