Admitting this: I am not happy with the treatment of the Black Panther and Wakanda in this particular mini-series.

Well, yeah. I have to admit I've skipped the whole series but Namor flooding it was a BIT much. Plus their losing all their Vibranium in Doomwar....

At least Hickman saw a way for Wakanda to avert/plan ahead in order to keep the economic damage minimal in his FF/Fantastic Four stories.

Since he's the one putting T'Challa in the latest iteration of New Avengers, I wonder if he hasn't figured out a way for a (relatively) quick recovery as well.

I still want to see Namor held to account for what they wrote him into doing to Wakanda. Editorially intolerable, perhaps, but I want it anyway.

I actually looked for a "like" button for your comment. Tired of superheroes not being held accountable for massive destruction.

Yeah. There's got to be limits on this sort of thing, right?

I still wish that Wally and Hal had been held answerable for erasing the universe's memories of Barry and Wally's public IDs at the end of "Blitz".

Get used to it. Nobody at the Two thinks about long-term impact anymore. It's basically a cash grab now.

...yeah. I was commenting over at the Milestone group on Facebook about my being obtuse about this little detail.

And prying the big two loose from their current corporate parents isn't going to happen unless we have a major economic crash. In which case, everyone involved is going to have far greater problems at that point, aren't they?

Oh, I don't blame the parent corps. I seriously doubt they care, since they can make more profit from one good movie than an entire year of comics.

I blame the editorial staff, full stop.

...yeah.

And what was this I heard via Hannibal Tabu about a telethon for Wakanda? (http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=41516)

They're quite capable of rebuilding their own country on their own terms, I suspect, but this is just...Wrong.
