I fully expect a number of my British acquaintances are already aware, equally disgusted and working up a proper screed to suit the occasion as you read these words. They will no doubt be far better informed and more informative than my own commentary.

There are few fitting words, and none are suitable for public consumption. From the get-go, this planned spectacle has been all about stomping out freedoms and free enterprise. I am not going to provide the games with an audience. Not that they will care -- but the sponsors might.
