We are the largest source of American imported energy. It'd be truer if Canada, rather than Alberta, controlled it, and was ready to flex its muscle with it (eg. use it to get a favourable softwood deal). If the Saudia can do it, why not us?

Yes, it would be more truthful, if there weren't this ongoing "strong-centralists vs. provincial-rights" hullabaloo between Parliament and certain elements of the provinces.

(Glares at specific parties in Edmonton and Ville de Québec...but not quite so much at the parties in St. John's.)
