You looked at the music I had on when I wrote this first, right?

Yeah. I listen to Bruce Cockburn at least a couple of times a week. Between that and being a CBC audience member by repeated public admission, I'm probably already considered a "person of interest" in some quarters.

So...I have to wonder what TV series certain federal cabinet ministers have been watching over the last decade during their in camera sessions. It surely wasn't Intelligence or The Border.

Especially when I read news like this item today.

I'm with Amnesty International's people as quoted on this one, people.

Didn't Torquemada once say that confessions and information gained through torture weren't worth the paper they were written on?

If he did say it, it's lost to my studies of history for the moment!

It may not have been a direct quote. However, few people know that the Spanish Inquisition was the only Inquisition court that accepted neither "Spectral Evidence" or confessions gained through torture. Few would believe that difference was BECAUSE of Torquemada's (a college trained lawyer) influence.

His reputation slandered by criminals who managed to outlive and outwrite him?
