An End to AnonySpam

I'm ending anonymous comments on this Livejournal. The spammery is become far too annoying now. My apologies to the honest and honourable ones still out there for the inconvenience that I know I've inflicted upon you as a result of this decision.

Hoping to post on other, happier - or at least more interesting - topics later in the day...

I never did allow anonymous comments on this blog. I've seen on some, though, where you have to do the Captcha thing to make an anonymous post. That should be available to all.

Didn't seem to hold up very well. There are spammers willing to endure that little inconvenience.

i've had as many spam anonys as i've had spam-lj-accounts. what a joke. i wonder what it is that triggers them, though, because they all seem to be centered around 3 very specific entries ranging from last month to 5 years ago!
