Winding Down a Month of Sundays

Trying to gear back up to speed on the illustration front after assorted issues and unavoidable chores kept on getting in the way. It feels like I'm making progress again, which feels good. I made a promise re: getting at least one of my comics projects to press by the end of this year, and I intend to keep it.
In the meantime, I'm feeling somewhat tired. This, thanks in part to some of those chores...which involved yardwork. Planting, seeding the lawn, and so forth. I keep thinking that my father -- if he's now in any condition to think at all post-mortem -- would be laughing like the proverbial madman. I'd long sworn that he'd never make a gardener of me, all through childhood and teenage years.
Thus are such oaths answered by fate, it seems.
I am displeased by the recent behaviour of the government side of the House of Commons, particularly as regards their national media relations strategy(particularly re: the Parliamentary Press Gallery), their stated intent to move Canada to fixed election terms, their stance on the Kyoto Accords, and, just for good and petty measure, the current Prime Minister's continued inability to avoid smirking whenever he thinks he's scored Major Political Points.
