Item One:

Okay, that itch that was bugging me about subways, Bank Street and Lansdowne that some of you have been arguing with me over at [livejournal.com profile] octranspo about? Spacing Ottawa let me take the thought a little further today:

Item Two:

I just found out that Ghana got turfed from the World Cup. Not happy about that at all.

Item Three:

I thoroughly enjoyed the outcome of last night's game between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Montréal Alouettes.

Back to you!

Oh my GOD. If they do that to the downtown core, I'm moving out of Ottawa. The amount of hell that would ensue trying to manage all of the construction, costs and most importantly TRAFFIC would be insane. It's bad enough that they're taking down the O-Train for over a month... at least it's during the summer when students aren't affected and there are fewer others taking it as well. But putting a tunnel through downtown Ottawa? Insanity ensues. Besides the fact we should want to not be like Toronto with an underground system. If they ever think about expanding the O-Train track either... that would be hell.

I actually met the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Since I'm from Saskatchewan originally and from Saskatoon... yep, they're cool. Although I'm not a fan of football.

You might want to write up a counter-argument and submit it to Evan Thornton, the blog editor.

Nah, I don't like getting into an argument. I also hate writing TBH, and whatever the city officials want, the city officials will get. :shrugs:

As far as I know, this blog post was just me scratching a personal itch, throwing an idea out there for public debate right now. If City Hall's actively considering any such thing, it's going to be news to me.

"TBH"?
