Mr. Cronkite *was* the news when I was growing up. No one else even comes close.

For me, it was a different set of names, most of whom you won't have heard of. Some of them are still with us on the air today: Knowlton Nash, Harvey Kirck, Lloyd Robertson, Peter Mansbridge.

When we lost Harvey Kirck here in Canada...I wonder if it was the same sort of impact.
