Absurdism in Movie Ads

I just saw one of the new Witch Mountain ads.

A Disney movie. With the following line:

"Don't go into the pimped-out fridge, Jack."

*snickering for several minutes*

After tonight's Galactica, I needed that.

Yet another Disney remake. More proof that Hollywood in general and Disney in particular is imaginatively bankrupt. Remakes, sequels and co-opted tried-and-true works of kidlit seem to be all that spew out of their studios.

And in some cases(*looks pointedly at Paramount/CBS*), the sequels may yet prove the better choice as opposed to what may in fact have been done...
