Picked up the Passchendaele DVD along with my comics today. I figure it'll be worth the retail price tag.

Speaking of the comics: Secret Warriors, Punisher, Iron Man, Legion of Three Worlds and Trinity in particular caught my attention. Not sure I want to say why just yet, but anyone looking to discuss for "yea", "nay" or "meh" sides? You should feel free to speak up.

Two more days, and the buses will be running again. Cannot wait. Impatience maddens me e'en now.

Legion of 3 Worlds made it to the comic shop today?

Yes, it did.

Gloriously crowded with characters.

George Perez is either having a blast drawing those three versions of the Legion, and all the other characters and villains, he's got going there..or he's going quite nuts! :)

Yep, I suspect so...

I still miss him in the days of his work on Wonder Woman...

In this, you are not alone. Gail's doing a fine job of writing, and Aaron Lopresti's keeping up with her on the art end, that much is certain.

Still, nostalgia is far crueler to their work than it deserves on some days. In the same category as Perez, I'd add [livejournal.com profile] ruckawriter's run and Phil Jimenez as well.
